Install in Excel
Add the Tickerdata add-in to Excel and sign in from the task pane.
Before you start
Tickerdata runs as an Excel add-in, so it needs a version of Excel that supports custom functions: Excel on the web, Excel for Windows on Microsoft 365, or Excel for Mac on Microsoft 365. Check Supported Platforms if you are not sure which one you have.
You will also need a Google account. Tickerdata accounts sign in with Google, whichever spreadsheet you use.
Install the add-in
Open the add-in store
In any workbook, go to Insert → Get Add-ins. On Excel for the web the menu reads Insert → Add-ins.
Search for Tickerdata
Search for Tickerdata and click Add on the result.
Open the task pane
The Tickerdata button appears on the Home tab. Click it to open the task pane.
Click Sign in in the task pane. Excel opens a small browser window on tickerdata.com — sign in there with the Google account on your Tickerdata subscription, and the window closes on its own.
Info
Try a formula
In any cell, enter:
=TICKERDATA.DATA("AAPL", "revenue", 2023) You should see Apple’s 2023 revenue. If the cell shows #BUSY! for a moment, that is
normal — the formula is fetching.
